Default 2014 with flow master 40 series question.

Ok guys. This morning I had a flowmaster 40 put on my truck. Keeped the resonators. When I let off the throttle it gurgles and as I ease back into the throttle it does the same thing for a few seconds then changes tones and sounds great. Is this normal?

the flow sound is a sound of preference...it doesn't do much to improve performance as much as a straight thru muffler (like a magnaflow).. but the loyal flowmaster guys love that sound and i respect that. I too use to run a flowmaster 50 but it just didnt sound right to me..switched to a magnaflow and i love that refined muscular tone.. try using tow/haul (or whatever it's called in the 4th gens) to disable mds and try again to see if you can recreate the sound...
