I got my fxr kit in today and will be doing the retro within the week. Bought a spare set of headlights so I can still drive mine. See how things go

Well got both headlights apart today. Struggled with the first one. Kept putting it into the oven and warped the orange reflector on the side of the headlight. Have to figure out what to do with it now. I will post some pics on here. Have to figure out how to post them off my iphone first.

Having nothing but problems with the retrofit source kit. When I install the projectors in the housing, the projector sits 1/2" up higher in the black cover. Can't seem to align it up.

Yeah that seems a bit excessive. In my pictures you can see they sit up just a bit.

Got pics of your install thus far?

Do you have any pictures looking into the headlight straight in?

Sure.

These pictures are on an older set I had. I don't have pictures of my current set to see if anything changed.

Thanks for the pics. Both of mine look worse than your passenger side.

Nothing changed.

They do sit a bit high, but due to the projector size, mounting plate, etc - there really isn't much that can be done to fix it.

The 3" FXR is the best fit over all the other projectors, and its not like the plate really can be adjusted that far down.

What I've found? The stock aim on the halogens are HIGH. Aim it down a smidge......especially when putting the lens back on. Its a very close fit....
