Default Removing Ram Head from front of grill

I am considering ordering the grill surround so that I can paint it Black Gold to lessen some of the Chrome on the front of my Longhorn. I have't taken my grill off yet, but am I correct in that the Ram Head on the front of it is not permanently attached? I figure it must be held on by clips or nuts but want to be sure before I order the outer grill.

Correct, the Ram head on the front grill is removable. It's a two piece emblem. T'would be nice to see before and after pics.

That's what I thought, thanks for confirming. In addition to painting the grill surround body color, I would like to swap out my chrome projector headlamps for the black ones from the Sport but I'm not paying almost $900 to do it. I did just finish swapping my tail lights for Sport lamps and they look significantly better on my Black Gold Longhorn. I might even consider looking into swapping out the Ram's head for the black ones on the Black Express package and finding a way to darken the Longhorn & 4x4 emblems on the tail gate. I debadged the doors already.

Painting the emblems black helps a lot. Just make sure to do a really too job sanding the chrome or that paint will just flake off and that sucks!

Or you can use Plasti Dip and you wont need to sand the chrome
