Default I Need help with the gears on my truck

I live in southern California and am having a hard time finding a shop that will do the gear swap to 4.56. My truck is a 2012 4x4 and I understand what all needs to be done but everyone is scared To do It.
Is there any places people in my area has had this work done that they can recommend?
Or is there anybody prefabbing diffs or anything? Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem in my area. I know nobody is prefabbing diffs. It's hard to find someone that's good to do this kind of work. I would just suggest looking in other cities. Let me know if you find anyone I would be willing to drive from vegas to get mine done! Did you find a front diff yet?

I havent even tried to look for a diff, id imagine thats the easy part. my main concern was finding a shop to do the work.
Talked to one shop today who said to just keep the gears i had, i told him i had 37's and he laughed at me lol. He completely understood what needed to be done to do the job but wanted nothing to do with it.
ill definitely let you know if i find a shop.

That's crazy. You'd think that SoCal would have all sorts of shops ready and willing to do this, considering how much of a truck culture is down there.

Hi Guys, I'm in the same boat
I have a 2013 4x4
Would like to convert from 3.92 to 4.56
I have a shop that is willing and able to do the swap
I just don't know what parts I need to order.
I'm from Europe, used parts for RAM's are not available here.
So I have to order new parts
Is there anyone that can help me with what parts I need to order..?

this is what I know so far:

Unfortunately, this is going to be a very difficult swap for you. In 2011, Dodge changed the rear diff, and nobody makes an aftermarket gear that fits.
You will need to have your current rear carrier machined to accept the aftermarket 4.56 gear. This is the easy part.

For the front, your ring gear is actually welded to the carrier. The only way for you to complete the front swap is to replace your front axle with 1 from an 09-11 1500 4wd. You will also need a new front driveshaft as well. From there, you can buy any aftermarket 4.56 gear which will bolt up without modification.

I know this is not what you wanted to hear, but Dodge made this a very difficult mod for the newer trucks.

best Leon
