Default left brake light out

OK heres the problem, 2004 Dodge Ram3500, lamp out light is on, left brake light is out(but if I hook a trailer to it the trailer light works, truck light does not), bulbs are good, I replaced the IPM (intergrated power module or supply) and it worked for a few days, then went out again, dealer and other mechanics have said it is in the IPM researching the system it shows that the only electrical that is not fused is the tail lights brake lights and suggested that if I put another IPM in it I should fuse those areas so that it wont blow the IPM, another electrical shop said that they could bypass the module for the brake lights. Soooooo any suggestions from anyone short of replacing the $600 IPM and putting fuses in to protect the IPM..

Good luck finding a fuse. You have to have them mailed to you. That is if you can find a dealership in the US that has any in stock.

I call shenanigans on this!

I don't know what they tested but how can they condem the junction box if the trailer lights work since they splice into the tail light wiring?

Did you try a different bulb? Look closely at the small contact wires on the base of the bulb and make sure they have not been bent into the plastic preventing a contact in the socket!
Take that small knife you play with and stick it in between the wire and the plastic at the base of the bulb bending it outward slightly.

I have the same problem as posted here. My Brake light keeps going out. Sometimes the lamp out light flashes on and off repeatedly "dinging" over and over and over and over and over. It's been cold out recently leaving me unable to take the time to diagnose this I'm hoping for warm weather so I can figure this out.
