Awesome post txrobtrx, I have started this project on my truck today and this post answered some of my issues that I have encountered. I installed blue LED lighting in the interior with no issues. Looks great.
Where I came into problems was with the exterior; I installed LED's for the cargo lights and 3rd brake light along with the license plate lights. All of them turn on and work properly. Now, as with everyone else, I am getting an error message that my license plate lights are out and my right rear tail light is out. I have been told that I need these resistors; my question for you, txrobtrx, what resistors did you use? You said you only needed one resistor for both cargo lights? And one resistor for the 3rd brake light? And can those resistors be used for the license plate lights? I am a newbie too and am worried about this grounding issue. How exactly do I do this?
