Default First all day trip in Ram

So, My wife and I went from our neck of MD up to central PA near Raystown Reservoir and back today. About 250 miles RT, mostly highway, but also some mountain roads. The truck ran flawlessly, was overall just a pleasure to drive. We were on several stretches on uphill climbs of several miles, and several more downhill stretches where trucks were advised to engage lower gearing. I didn't really feel like I "needed" to use the lower gearing, but I did just to try it out. Not bad! We only got a little over 18 MPG, but it is winter gas, we were going up steep inclines, and there were areas early in the day where the road was icy. We lost Pandora in the mountains, but only for a short time, but that wasn't the truck's fault, more the iPhone and Verizon's. On the way back we had had a way too close encounter with a white-tailed rat, i.e. a deer, jumping right in front of us and the hard braking wasn't bad, as we missed the damned deer by a about a hair. Anyway, I am so happy with my truck that it looks as if I am going through life with an illegal smile, which I'm not, but seriously, if I was any happier they'd lock me up.

OK, I haven't gotten into the posting pics here, but after the scolding I guess that I better learn how. Where do I start? And I have to resize? How do I do that? Somebody point me in the right direction, please.

I use Photobucket .com. It is free, and in the library where your pics are, you just copy the image link, and paste in your post. Good Luck!

I agree, this is the best cruising vehicle I have ever had. It has made 4 cross country trips and is never a problem, comfortable, smooth and easy to drive. Even my wife who has a bad back and has had several surgeries never complains. The gas mileage was good, 19.3 avg going east, but only 16.7 coming back west. We ran into a lot of high winds and some bad rain storms more than half the way back.

A crowded Wyoming I80

I have a 2009 QC 1500, the odometer reads over 99,600 miles
I have driven from San Diego to Connecticut every year since July 2009
some days i drive over 500 miles just doing my job

Because i follow or lead semi trucks, i often downshift going down longer hills, easier on the brakes that way
Going uphill i often shift down to keep the transmission from constantly shifting up & down & semi trucks can't climb steeper hills very fast
