Mine started last week as well - after 9 months of ownership and 6,200 miles.

Perhaps this weekend I'll pull these "blocks".

I have owned my 2500 for two weeks and the noise from the passenger side dash area was gettting worse by the day.

After reading this post this morning I went out to the garage and lifted the cowl then reached under it and pulled off the loose melted plastic that was the spacer.

I took the truck out for a test drive on a rough road and the noise is gone. Thank you.

Great post. These trucks are noisy in all the wrong ways. Thanks for the heads up!

My truck started making this noise this fall and only at highway speeds. Just got done popping those 2 little plastic pricks out, as well as the hardened glue. On the drivers side I had a little rectangular piece of dense foam that I also took out. Highway test soon will reveal if the noise is gone, but I am pretty confident it will be quiet!

i recently just started getting a creaking noise when going over certain rough roads in cold weather. really hoping this is the cause. I can however push on my headliner and the creaking stops...

The yellow "spacers" are put there from the factory for windshield alignment while the glue/sealer sets and are supposed to disintegrate. If they are still there gently remove them.
How do I know??? When my windshield was replaced recently I asked what these things were that are all broken up just hanging there.

Huge post - I've been dealing with this issue for a while and will dig into it. And my issue only arises in cold weather - goes away when it's hot which makes sense since that glue would soften a little I guess.

The guy that installed my windshield used tape stuck to top of cab holding it up while glue/sealer took a set so it wouldn't slide down. Said they never used the factory stops at bottom to hold up windshield.
