Default went to the mech

so i went to the mechanic to order my borla exhaust and he ended up telling me about how headers would make my stuff sound so much better but the set up i am wanting specificly done is giving me trouble i want a true dual exhaust and dont want them sharing one muffler so i am trying to look for a affordable true dual exhaust that has a single muffler on each exhaust pipe plus i am going to look into some jba shorty headers so i can have max my performance through my exhaust system. but any recommendations?

If you are looking for maximum performance you'll want to get some long tube headers. Though they are significantly more expensive.

If you have the coin get some long tubes, if not JBA shorties are still awesome and you wont be chasing codes.

Now if are looking for a true dual set up you will have to go to a custom shop and have them build it the way you want it. I don't think that any company makes a header-back true dual, bolt on product.

Now that I've started to day dream and type IF I had the money I would install American Racing long tube headers, into an X-pipe, into 2 E-cutouts, into 2 14" Si/So Magnaflow mufflers and finish it off with some 5" black tips... but that's just me. So now that you know you need to go custom start researching your possibilities, X-pipes, H-pipes, Headers and Muff's. Just be sure to let us know what your final product is and have fun!

altho my setup isn't a true, true dual setup.. it more than flows just as well as one.. running lt headers thru 3" piping to H pipe, thru dual 3" cutouts, to dual 3" in/ 3.5" single out...

Default CARB Legal

My fellow Californian, just make sure you get CARB certified headers (JBA shorty 1961S-2 models are) and you can choose the finish you like (I got titanium ceramic). I just got mine done. I am doing the Magnaflow Catback 16869 next week, so no help from me on true duals. Take a look at mine under the thread: JBA Headers.
