i had trouble with vibrations on my 09 ram 1500 when towing. the trailer was the cause. my brothers chevy didn't vibrate when towing it, but 1 day he hooked his wifes 4runner to it and her truck vibrated too. the problem was the wheels on the trailer needed to be balanced, it sounds crazy but the 4runner and ram both have coil springs in the rear. because of this the vibrations from the trailer tires transmitted to the truck caused the softer coils to bounce whereas the leaf springs r rigid. i balanced the trailer tires (which isnt easy when they r prone to flatspot from sitting) and the vibration is all but gone. these new softride suspensions r changing the game when the time comes to start balancing trailer tires.

I have a 2013 Ram Hemi Sport with 6 spd auto trans and 4:10 rear end. It also vibrates when towing my horse trailer. It starts about 40-45 mph, gets worse when I accelerate and not so bad when I let off the gas. Could it be the trans out of balance with the trailer hooked up??? It does it empty or loaded. Trailer weight is 7000 lbs.

Are you sure you're not experiencing flat spots on the trailer tires, which is fairly common considering they sit unused most of the time. My utility trailer will transmit 'noise' to the truck until it's been on the road for 20 minutes or so.

Is your trailer aligned with your vehicle? Are your tires both the same pressure? Do you have a weight distributing hitch? There is a lot that can make it shake. I used to have that problem as well, mine turned out to be that the trailer wasn't aligned well with my Ram. I ended up getting a WDH to tow something else and it kinda fixed the problem for me. I went looking around a bit and here is a bit more information on WDH, it might help you with your shaking problem.WDH info
