Default Blank Canvass Need Help

Fellas, Im hoping you can help me out. I ordered a new 2014 RAM 1500, and I need to dress her up. First let me tell you how I use my rig. Im a hunter, fisherman, camper and an occasional rock crawler (when Im lost and have to make my own road). I used to have a 3500 long bed with ProComp 35s and a few inches of lift (just enough to prevent rubbing). I had 2 lift in coils and 2 lift in spacers in the form of a Leveling kit from KORE, and 2 in the rear with blocks. I mention all that to say I hated it - all of it. ProComp tires wore out way to fast, and the spacers and coils caused death wobble that needed constant retuning. I went cheap and regretted it. So Im pretty much open to anything except what Ive already had. I want long lasting tires and a solid suspension lift. I have a white canvass thats ready for some artwork. Im open to pretty much to anything, so lay it on me. If you have something you love please share, if you have something you hate, share that too.

Well, the equipment you were running may have been bad but the setup sounds right. If you are bushwhacking and crawling you don't want too high of a lift. 4 inches should be about all you should go to keep the center of gravity as low as possible and get through tight spaces. I'll let others blitz you with brand names.

Anyone have any thoughts on Rough Country? http://www.roughcountry.com/dodge-su...-kit-324s.html

It seems like a pretty decent price for a 6" lift.

If you're going to just level to fit bigger tires, most people recommend Bilstein adjustable shocks and an optional spacer in the back. If you want a full suspension lift, BDS seems like one of the top brands around here. However, I've seen a lot of trucks on here running Rough Country lifts without any problems. In fact, there's a sticky just for Rough Country lifts: http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=131830. Do a search on the forum for any of these and you'll find countless discussions both for and against.

Leveling kit... 5100s HANDS DOWN... Best bang for the buck... adjustable from 0"-2.75" of lift. Improved ride, and can be used if you ever decide to go taller...

Tires.
Fuel Mud Grippers... just got 40k out mine... Great in the mud. Low road noise.. key to success with Mud tires is ROTATION and BALANCE!.. did mine every other oil change.

Nitto Trail Grappler... Im running these now have about 500 miles on them... LOVE Them even more than my Fuels. seem a little lighter taller and a tad skinnier.. truck feels better with them... little bit louder than the Fuels... but stiffer compound should get 45-50k out of them.

Kore Tactical Series lift and fiberglass. Lift it just enough to clear Duratrack 315/70/17's. Add some rocker protection and then conquer all.
