Default What setup would be louder?

So, after some searching I couldn't find an answer so I decided to ask here.

Which setup would be louder?

-One 12" subwoofer running at 700wrms

or

-Two 12" subwooders running around 400wrms

Entirely depends on the subs.

And either way, you could have an incredibly loud sub, but it'll be so loud, or really not loud at all, it'll sound like shit and everyone would make fun of you. So loudness isn't always the answer either.

Like he said, it depends on airspace, ported/sealed, the sub itself ect.

Would the 2 subs be getting 400 rms ea or just for the two?
Id go with the single with 700rms personally...save some space and id bet itd be just as loud.

More specs man!! Lol

So my two kfc-xw10's blew due to the crappy ebay box leaking. So using the specs of that box I am building a new ported box with thicker MDF and fiberglass for the "cups" under the rear seat. I just got my replacement subs back from kenwood since they were under warranty. So, since I'm rebuilding the sub box anyway, I'm going to sell my 10's and make the box to fit kfc-xw12's. I happened to find the 12's on amazon for cheaper than what I bought the 10's for.

So that's my story at the moment lol. The specs for the amp I have are:

Into 4 ohms @ 12.5/14.4 VDC
125/160 WRMS x 2

Into 2 ohms @ 14.4 VDC
255 WRMS x 2

Bridged into 4 ohms @ 14.4 VDC
510 WRMS x 1

Bridged into 2ohm @ 14.4 VDC
700 WRMS x1 (must be Fan Cooled) Birthsheet only show's 4ohm raitings. Phoenix Golds mirrored website states these amps can do 2ohm mono with exceptions.

So, doing some math from crutchfield's website, bridged into 2-ohms the subs would have to be between 233.3-466.6rms each. Being that the kfc-xw12's power range is 50-400rms, they would be a perfect match for my amp.

But looking at the specs for my amp and being that bridged into 2-ohms it could push out a min/max of 466.6-933.3 for one sub. So I was just toying with the idea of buying just one 2-ohm sub with a power range of 466-933. I'm probably going to just go with the kfc-xw12's since I can get them pretty cheap but I was just curious what everyone else thought.

I'd do a single 10 or 12 and a ported box. Either get a 2 ohm sub, or get a 4 ohm DVC sub and wire it in parallel. Don't be afraid to overpower the sub.

To answer your question, two will move more air and have more output. At 85db/w at 1m, that is a fairly sensitive subwoofer so it does not need a lot of power to play loud.
You need 1.5cuft/ea for ported so you do not have the room under the rear seats for two subs ported. 1.25cuft/ea for sealed.
The frequency response for those subs is not very good....just sayin
