hey diesel guys, i got a 94 2500 a couple months ago that has an auto tranny in it. i have been told that if i turn it up with a new plate i can expect to be puttin a tranny in it very soon. is there any mods i can do to get a little power out of it ,such as moving the stock plate, with out killin the tranny and what kind of numbers would that be?

Still got OEM head studs? I'm 24v, so rebuilt & upgraded auto tranny & TC. Did some other improvements. R...

Assumes your 46RH Auto tranny is adequate.

You can slide your plate forward on the pump and crank on the star wheel (not full), Google how much to do this - Diesel Bombers forum. Make sure you have a good intake and clean filter (I'm K&N ), run an open 4" and SS 5" tip out the rear. I take my 24v Cummins to my diesel tech and I have a tranny guy. We're talking 50 to 60hp increase over stock for your 12v. Don't block the waste gate.

You should address your OEM head studs (ARP good way to go), upgrade your tranny and TC, and Google the following for adding up to 150 hp:

Cheap horse power 1994 12 valve Cummins

Click on;

Adding 150 HP to affordably built 12 valve B - series Cummins, by Mike McGlothlin. DIESELPOWER Magazine

Good luck, R...
