Default Toolbox and Utility Rails

Not sure how many will be interested in this, but thought I'd share anyway.
I'm waiting to order a new Ram, sometime soon.... after I get a chance to decide if I want the diesel. In the meantime, I'm reading so much about the trucks that my wife is ready to disown me!
I have a Titan now, with the utility tie-down rails and the sliding toolbox. I love both, and use them all the time. I was trying to figure out a way to take off the Titan and install on the Ram, so I stopped by the dealership with tape measure in hand. It didn't take too long before I found the bed on the Ram isn't square (or rectangular...). It's trapezoidal - about 2" or so wider at the tailgate than at the cab (for the 6'4" bed). That means my old toolbox won't work at all, since the bed on the Titan is the same width all the way.
I checked the Mopar descriptions for the toolbox, and it doesn't make sense. It shows 44.5" wide, which would be narrower than between the wheel wells - and the picture clearly shows it going from side rail to side rail. But I did notice the connection hardware is hinged, allowing for the width difference.
Not sure I want to shell out $900+ for the Mopar rails and toolbox.
Any other good ideas out there? Thinking of just getting something simple like a Walmart Rubbermaid box, and using that until I come up with a grand idea. I could still secure it with a couple of bolts in the front, and a pin system inside the box.

I had a custom box made for my '99 Chevy 1500
I had to make a few changes to get it to fit into my '09 Ram, mostly at the wheel well area
it doesn't look like it fits to well at the edges where the Ram's bed rails curve out, but it is covered by my tonneau cover

Interesting that the cargo box walls are curved.
I have the Ram storage boxes. I measured the reduced size cargo area and it is pretty much rectangular with straight side walls. Incidentally, the Ram boxes have eliminated my need for a tonneau cover since about everything I want secured/out of sight now goes into the storage boxes.

Whereas the Ram boxes are NO substitute for genuine large work storage boxes, they do the job 100% for my needs. Additionally, the aluminum cargo box track system in the Ram is exceptional and equivalent to the what Nissan pioneered in their trucks. The moveable, configurable, lockable gate is marvelous.

I've thought long and hard about getting the RamBoxes. In the end, I really want a cap -- too many years of putting a tarp over everything and then a couple hundred bungee cords over that.

That storage box you cited is exactly what I looked at. Interestingly, check out the details on Amazon. Amazon says it's 74" long, while the Mopar description on the same page says 44.5". And the truck is about 62-64" at the rails, depending on where you measure it. (I think my description above was backwards -- the bed is wider toward the cab and narrower at the tailgate.)

The Mopar price for utility rails (p/n 82211058) is $341. They are available for as low as $280 on Amazon.
Does anyone know if there's an "invoice" price the dealer pays for the parts? I might want to work this into my deal.

Thanks!
