Default Lamp Out warning

Hey all, I've got an '02 Ram and I apparently have a loose connection somewhere, either with a light or with the Lamp Out warning light on the dash. The light flashes on and off the whole time I'm driving, which is no problem, but it also beeps, which is a problem. I have no idea what lamp it seems to think is out. I have checked all my headlights and taillights and they are all fine. I don't care if there is a loose connection, I just don't want to have to listen to the beep the entire time I'm driving. Does anyone know if there is a way to disconnect the beeper? Electrical is one thing I haven't done much of...

The ding is a safety thing. I don't think it can be disconnected or turned off. Have you checked your 3rd brake light? You've either got a lose bulb/connection or a bad TIPM.

My 03 did that a few time and it was always one of the taillight bulbs. The plastic melted a little under the wire on the bulb causing the bad connection it drove me crazy for a while until I figured it out. Change it and bam a few weeks later another tail light bulb same thing changed all of them and didn't have a issue after that. I hope this helps

I had a brake light go out. it would flash/beep only when I used the turn signal. At the rhythm of the signal also I found it amusing.

If the electrical contacts on the taillight circuit board show signs of heat replace them. They're about $23 on amazon. If they're not blackened a little dielectric grease may help.

My truck is doing that now. I replaced all of the bulbs in both tail lights. Some days when is warmer they work, and then at night when it cools off the right rear blinker stops working and that damn lamp out goes off on the dash. Its so annoying.
