Default Got the infamous low cab air problem, but not like any here

I have read numerous posts about the infamous cheap plastic connector on the recirc. air door problem on the HVAC system behind the glove box. I have the same symptoms, but my recirc. air door is intact and maneuvers fine. I have about half of the air flow I have had for years, and on a 80F+ day, we are sweating! No air comes near the seatbacks, much less the back seat (725 FPM at any vent). I get in my buddies trucks, and it blows back the hair of people in the back seat.

I have read this is due to the recirc. door, but mine works like it should, even checked the heatertreater.com videos. I get the same amount out when I do recirc or outside air. When I mix the blend doors, I get the same from the defrost or the floor.

I did put in an aftermarket fan, but wired it the same, even with the colored wire with the white stripe to the same on the new fan, and my climate control module appears slightly loose when I press buttons on it, and what appears to be the defrost button on the same control (to the far right of the AC and recirc button) began blinking anytime the truck is running. None of these symptoms started at the same time.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Your aftermarket fan could be bad or not producing enough volume. You should have more air coming out in recirc than from outside air. Don't know about the blinking defrost light. Is the defrost for the mirrors? Maybe you have a bad element in one of the mirrors.

So, I should try and replace the fan first?

there should be a way to find out what the stock OEM fan specifications were
how many RPMs, how many HP, how many blades it had ??? are the blades straight or curved, etc.

here is another possible reason & it does mention the LIGHT blinking
