I did a quick estimate at UPS online and got about $21. I will bring it to work with me tomorrow and go ahead and package it up and take it down to get an actual price. I can respond here or if you want to PM me your number I can text you and let you know that way. Might be a little quicker. Were you going to use Paypal? Just let me know.

22" here as well. I have the SISO. I'm thinking of cutting off my resonator to get a "tad" more, but I also don't want too much.

So...did you say how it sounded yet? I have the 18" and the drone is no good on the hwy. I have headers to 3" pipes to 3" y-pipe down to single 3" then 3" in to dual 2.5" outs. I lost some bottom end torque when I switched. Trying to figure out if I should go with a little more restriction to get the torque back or what?

I have a work vehicle so my truck typically doesn't get driven much during the week but I did drive it in town a little last night. It's amazing how much quieter it is. I was afraid the 22" would be just a tad quieter than the 14" but not enough to justify the swap but that's not the case. It really does sound just a tad louder than stock at idle and while easing around. It sounds great and the tone really didn't change so you can certainly still tell it's an aftermarket exhaust. It really opens up and actually sounds the closest to the 14" when you step into the throttle. The one thing I haven't done yet is an interstate cruise to check the drone. It will be either Thursday or Friday before I'm able to do that but I will certainly report back. I expect to be pleased with it from what I have heard so far.

As for the low end loss....I dunno about that. I have read arguments both ways. Some guys say Magnaflows typically perform better than Flowmasters because they are a straight through design. Others say that our trucks need a certain amount of backpressure. I personally don't know. I do wonder sometimes if folks only perceive a loss of power with an aftermarket exhaust because it sounds like the truck is working harder. That bellow makes it much more apparent when the truck is bogging or having to downshift.

I think the 22" Maggie would be a good choice for you. It should help reduce the drone but should still sound good and be fairly loud when combined with the other exhaust mods that you have.

First off let me say that I'm a newb and this is my first post! I am looking at swapping out my stock muffler with a 24" Maggie (part # 12388). I like the rumble of an upgraded exhaust but can't stand to be too loud and hear someone coming from a mile away. What are you're thoughts on the 24"?

Also, does the new muffler already come with the hangers? If so, it looks like a pretty straightforward swap! Thanks guys

Welcome to the forumz! You should drop into the Newbie section and introduce yourself. I don't know much about the 24" other than I have heard it is actually slightly louder then the 22" because the 24" is a 5x8 case and that 22" is a 5x11 case. I have been able to evaluate my 22" a little more andI love it just like everyone said I would. Its the perfect volume to let you know you have an aftermarket exhaust but never annoying or intrusive.

The universal mufflers do not come with hangers but it is very simple for an exhaust shop to weld a new muffler in using existing hangers. Mine is as secure as the stock muffler was.

That being said, Mufflex makes DIY bolt on/clamp on kits for the forth gens using Magnaflow mufflers. I believe their quietest one uses the 24" muffler. They will cost you a little more than purchasing a muffler and having it welded in. Hope this helps!

Awesome! Thanks for the information. This forum is pretty awesome. Seems like a lot of people with great insight. I'll look into the 22" as well! I appreciate it.
