Ive got an 05 ram 1500 4wd and im looking to do a lift soon. Im hoping to get about 8" out of it. would I be able to do a 6" bds lift you think and then do a 3" body lift? that should give me enough clearance to throw on some 37s underneath. what you guys think? any recommendations on brand, setups, other suggestions? how high can I adjust the shocks w/o any issues rubbing?

essentially I wanna do:

-20x12/22x11 fuel hostages
-37x13.50x22 nitto muds or toyo mts

and this is pretty much the look im going for...

thanks fellas,

If you did that set up you would essentially have the same set up as the truck you mentioned in your post. You would have plenty of clearance for sure. If you did a 20x10 you would need a -24mm offset if you did a 20x12 you would need a -44mm offset to fit 13.5" wide 37's and may have to do a little trimming but nothing major that can't be handled without ease. as far as a 20x11 I am not sure if those are being made in the Fuel hostages or not.

However that set up does look AWESOME!!! and we were able to get him a steal on that set up!

thanks so much for your input jeremiah! ill definitely check out bullys performance when the times comes.... I have a couple more questions if you dont mind.

take a look at this truck below. this is exactly how I want mine. only thing I would change are the wheels and tires. Id go with the 37x13.5 as I mentioned before and prob 20-22" wheels; still cant decide. I know the tradeoffs really is about ride quality. a bigger wheel means a rougher ride. some like to have more tire, I dont know what do you think?

also, if I went ahead with a 6" sus lift, 3" body lift... should I get a front leveling too as this guy did? or could I level it out some other way? whats the difference between say, a 2.5" leveling kit and the blocks he mentioned or is it the same? also what are your thoughts on traction bars and steering stabilizers for the front/back? worth it or not and which would be best to have?

thanks again for your advice, I know nothing about this stuff hahah

cheers,
carson
