Default Hids or Projectors /Hids

I have a 2012 Ram Express with dual headlights. Here are the options I have narrowed it down to.

HIDS stock headlights, 55w 5000K BiXeon

RetroShop Projectors, 55w 5000K BiXeon

The reason to stay with Duals: It is what my truck came with and it can not be programed for Quads, only highs are on in high beam not high and low like a truck that came with Quads. I guess what I am asking is if the price difference is worth it for the projectors.

RetroShop recommended standard Ballast not Canbus. opinions on this ?

I have a 2012 Ram express as well and bought Retrosolutions 35w HIDs for my duals. I've had them for about a year with no problems and pretty pleased with my decision.

You'd have to buy the Projection housing on top of the HID kit. I'd just keep the duals, try out the HIDs for a little. You may like them and if you do, bake the headlights and paint them black down the road.

I would go with the retroshop projector retrofit headlights. That is what the HID lights are made for and you will get the best light output with that set up. I have had Retro fit headlights in my cars since 2003 and have never looked back.

This is what I have. sorry for such a crappy pic.

This one is a little better.

Like mention before you can always just get the HIDs first then go projector route after if you want. My truck came with HIDs already in, and the one bulb just blew so I ordered replacement bulbs from retro, but when I get more money I'm having him build a set up for me and all new HIDs from him.

if you want the quads, a simple diode will allow you to run them just like the quads. Meaning the lows will stay on when you hit the high beams.
