Default Deleting cats? Any options

]Trying to get some info. My truck currently has a flow master 1 in 2 out muffler and tips. Still has stock cats and all 4 o2 sensors. Is the only way to get rid of the cats by going headers back? Or will that still trip my engine light to come on. Truck sounds decent now but I'd still like that added deeper sound with a bit more response. Any ideas or recommendations would be great.

I've heard these Hemis sound like shit with cats removed.

Many here say don't do it.

Hope some will chime in.

Okay, this isn't 1970 anymore...

I saw a dyno of a 500rwhp LS2, they tested without cats, then with. The result; 7 less horsepower with cats. Thats ~1.5% draw on a friggin race motor...

Keep in mind, these motors are tuned for a bit of back pressure, remove that and the power band climbs way up on the tach, you lose most of the low end torque.

ALSO, yes, they sound like crap w/o cats, too raspy...

I don't have cats, but that's because I had them taken out when I had my longtube headers put in. I love the sound of my exhaust too but I had everything redone when I had my headers put in.

If you take your cats out you will trip a CEL and either have to have the rear O2's tuned out or do the nonfouler trick so that the CEL doesn't go off.

My AT3030 sounded like a fart can at low to mid rpms but not sure if it was due to LT's or no cats. All my other setups have bean just fine. Sad cause from watching vidos from 3G Ram owners it sounds mean.

That said, there are folks who still run cats with LT's but weather they are still in the factory location is another thing.
