This information is not unlikely to help the op, however, it may help someone. If you experience a situation, where the radio stays on for a few minutes after the ignition switch is set to the off position. There is a feature called power off delay.

I came across this video on Youtube, that gives some details about a feature causing the on the on state persistence of the radio.
Radio staying on after ignition switch is set to off, is shows at ~1:00, then a power off delay feature is revealed at ~2:00.
Seems you can set the power off delay for up to 10 minutes after the ignition switch is set to the off position.

That's great. What is the name of your dealer? Maybe I can call them and have them get one for me.

What sucks is the dealer that the truck is at is not the dealer I bought the truck from. THEY are 3 hours away. I did email the salesman to see if they can order the part and see how long it takes for them.

If you could ask your dealer if they just ordered the part normally or if they had to pull any strings it would be much appreciated. I just can't sit and wait for this to get fixed anymore. I need to try and get something done. It is over two weeks now that the truck has been at the local dealer.

The radio problem people are having is that the gauges stay on after they get out of their Rams. People have reported that hours later the gauges were still on. The power off delay feature shuts off as soon as a front door is opened or the time limit has expired. The gauges will stay lit for another minute or two but then they should go out.

After 16 days in the shop, I finally have my truck back. The dealer replaced the gauge cluster on Wednesday and everything seems to be working so far. So it has a new BCM, radio and gauge cluster now. The tech called me and told me it was fixed and asked me if I had any tire work done on the truck and I said no, it's only got a thousand miles on it. He said the truck has 2 wrangler sr and 2 wrangler hp tires! So he put new rear tires on it to match the hp's in the front. RAM quality control SUCKS!!!!!!! Oh and I just found the screws for the lower dash panel weren't put back in.

So, is there no way to shut power off to the 8.4 system besides hitting the screen off button and the mute feature?
