Default Magnaflow 22" muffler replacement

Just recently replaced my stock muffler with the 22" magnaflow. Definitly got a better sound, but not as loud as I had anticipated. It is a little louder than stock but not what I expected. Is it true that these mufflers get louder over time, or do I just need to scrap it and buy the 18" magnaflow. Or maybe cut out the resonators. I don't want to annoy the whole neighborhood, but I do want a little more volume out of the exhaust. Please weigh in with any opinions, thanks.

even without having magnaflow...just by reading here on the this forum I could have told you the 22" sounded close to stock.

you need to go 18" or 14"

or go Flowmaster not as annoying as you might think and sounds delicious

Default Not a flowmaster fan

If the magnaflow doesn't get louder over time I will get the 18"

Won't go with the flowmasters, have heard them on some trucks, just not what I like.

Fair enough. I think it may break in some..but I think you'd be happier just selling your 22" and getting 18". won't set you back much

My truck has 3,400kms on it and the 22" was installed after 350 kms. It hasn't changed the tone a whole lot. I've considered removing the resonator in the tail pipe to make it a little louder but at times I like how tame the truck is when daily driving.

The truck wont get louder over time if you want to get louder get a smaller muffler. I run the 22'' magnaflow an love it yes its close to stock, but I did the straight pipe before an the cops didnt like ti to much with the magnaflow it flows like straight pipe but so melow in sound makes for a nice little sleeper
