Default uconnect access remote start

If I get the uconnect 8.4AN system & the remote start package is there a monthly fee to remote start/lock/unlock/etc with my phone via cell connection? I can't seem to find anywhere if the uconnect Access system has any subscription fee other than WiFi hotspot fees.

Anyone that is currently using the cell connection for remote Access... how is it working? Something worth having? I am a gadget junkie and the idea of connecting my truck with my cell phone,,,, match made in my dreams!

Thanks!

It comes with a free trial. I have the 8.4a no remote start but I can lock and unlock with my iPhone. It's nice if you go inside somewhere and not sure if you locked the doors.

But how much does it cost after the free trial? I couldn't find it either.

I saw the number once, and don't recall the exact price. But it was about $120 per year. Very similar in cost and functionality to OnStar.

That would only be $10 per month. I was thinking it would cost somewhere closer to $29-$39/month for a Sprint connection.

I use it - It's pure fluff but when I'm reading my email and drinking my morning coffee getting ready to leave- I send a start command and the truck is warm and ready to roll.
When I get to work in the morning I set the AC to the proper setting for an afternoon start. As I'm locking my office I send the start command and by the time I get to the truck the AC has cooled the interior - I'm George Jetson!!

OnStar has a Verizon connection and it's the same price. Kindles have data connections too and are free. It's just a deal that big companies work out with the cell providers. Plus the usage is very limited.

Now, if you want to use the hotspot feature, it gets very overpriced.
