Thumbs up AAC LED strips

Hey guys, well now that I have the new roll pan painted and installed on my truck, I need some light on the plate to keep it legal. I ordered the Oracle exterior white LED strip which I installed this evening.

To set it up I had to cut the strip and solder on some wires which I'd previously cut off of the old liscence plate lights. I then drilled a small hole in the top of the plate well and installed 1.5" of LED strip by using the 3M sticky back and threaded the wires to the back of the roll pan and spliced them into one of the old plate lights. The exposed soldered connection will be getting some black liquid electrical tape tomorrow to protect the wires and blacked them so they blend in better.

I'll post some daytime shots tomorrow so you can see the setup. As well i'll be installing the AAC 3157 LEDs into my front turnsignals.

You need a soldering iron to heat the solder up from the adhesive slide then the wires into the soft solder, let cool and VOILA! or, you can try like my first attempt and burn through the gel coating down to the solder pad then try and get the wire to solder with outside rosin core. I recommend the first option.

I've got a 1" strip mounted under my hood so I can have nighttime lighting under there.
