Do you mean rotor come off the hub? The answer would be no. Bearings are in the rotor, they are one piece. You have to pull the dust cover off, remove the cotter pin and then the hub nut, then the rotor will slide off the hub with the bearing attached.
Yes yes thats what i mean. Trying to replace the rotor but its not possible at the moment unless these are two separate parts. What dust cover are you referring to? :4-dontknow:
Trying to attach a pic but the m***&^*#! wont upload for some reason. It seems the studs are pressed into the rotor from the backside and the hub is just setting in it, over the studs. It looks like the two should be pried apart but nothing will budge.
Did you try wacking it between the studs with a BFH?
Just for future reference...It's a lot easier to pull the rotor off the hub while it's still on the truck.
RRJ! tell 'em how to post a picture!
There's a few good tutorials in the "Suggestions-Feedback-Tech Support"...(then click) "How To's" up top, or follow this link: http://ramforumz.com/forumdisplay.php?f=73
Yes yes it was just a BFH that needed and it did the trick, knocked the studs through and it came right off. Thanks!! Picked up a 20 gal parts washer today to lower the intensity on this little job a ton.
Hey now I figured out HOW to upload a pic, but was encountering some kind of error. Comments like that typical of a Texan.. :hah:
