Most all vehicles will have modules that may not have all the expected SW writtten or fully validated. They may need changes that can't be finished by the time the model is started to be built. These first built vehicles are considered V1, later in the build (usually around mid year) the new SW will be avaialbe and the plants start to build with the V2 modules and the SW updates are made available to the dealers along with a TSB#. You'd go in and have the TSB performed which would not give you the equivilent SW in your modules.
Hope that helps to explain the diffderence in V1 & V2.

Got it completed. Thanks for the help. Do all 2012 have V2 module and should I have that one?

Or did this update equate to the V2 update?
