The F 150 is 365 hp and has less cubic inches then a 5.7 hemi. But that doesn't mean it's slower then the hemi. I think they faster then the ecoboost and much better armored. Shorter strokes and higher rpms are equally as fast as longer stroke engines with lower rpms in some cases. Speaking of the Coyote 5.0 Mustang with a better designed quad overhead cam engine then a hemi 5.7. Overhead gives you more rpms at your disposal with a quicker 5.0 stroke. You can build an small block engine good for quick launches or a big block good for mid range on up to chase down the small block in the long run. Both have their pros and cons. But the 5.0 has an additional power being 4 overhead cams. Just as a bike with high revving overhead cams, they make a lot of quick power as small as they are.
