No, the two suspension are completely different. CST and Maxtrax both make lift kits for your 4x2 though. Plus, body lifts are also available.

Looks like a 4 inch lift to me. Of course, you can go with a 4 inch suspension lift but if you're on a budget you can combine a 3 inch body lift and a leveling kit for the same ride height.

Most of the complaints on ball joints separating has been with the spacer type leveling kits. A full lift kit has drop down brackets to correct the ball joint and CV joint angles.
