Its not had to change out, but i recommend you have a professional change it out due to the rear diff having to be dismantled and reassebled with the correct preset on the pinion and ring gear.

You can instantly rule out restricted exhaust by removing an O2 plug....that open hole will either improve idle and driving or not.
