Center Bezel Removal 09-11
 
WARNING: On vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, seat belt tensioner, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment and personal or fatal injury.
  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

  3. Disengage the retaine clips that secure the power outlet trim bezel (1) to the center bezel (2). IMG]http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c85/moparornocar72/dash4.jpg[/IMG]

  5. Disengage the retainer clips that secure the trim ring to the floor console.http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c8...ar72/dash9.jpg
  6. Disengage the retainer clips that secure the shifter bezel to the floor console.http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c8...r72/dash10.jpg
  7. Disengage the retainer clips that secure the instrument panel center bezel (1) to the instrument panel.
  8. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (4) and remove the center bezel from the vehicle.

Figured it would make life easier for someone who would be changing the stereo or painting these panels. post pics of what you guys do with it!

I'm thinking about taking mine out and painting all the silver stuff to match the outside as well as the trim around the ac vent. just playing with the idea and not sure if i'm going to do it

ive been looking for this!! your thought above is exactly what i have planned to do, now i have the how-to for the counsel it will be taken apart tomorrow and hope to get the first coats on! rep for the great write up

i meant the whole dash portion and the center counsel where my shifter is. well i got them off the following day and thats pretty much how it has stayed. got extremely busy with hunting stuff since the season is right around the corner!!! so hopefully i will get them painted and put back on by next weekend lol. there will be pics as soon as i can get time to finish the project
