flowmaster question

I was thinking of upgrading my exhaust to a super 40 or 44. Just wondering when I go to buy the muffler what inlet/outlet size and should it be offset outlet?

3" inlet and 2.25" dual outlet is what youll need but 2.5" will work just fine since 2.25 is not very common with 3" inlets:smileup:

^^ there you go.. And both the 40 and 44 sound awesome.. I have a single super 44 with resonator deleted, mandrel pipe from muffler back to a 5" MBRP tip... Oh my I love the sound. And personally I find the apparently horrible "MDS droan" not even bad.

Mines a sport so it has stock dual exhaust. Does mine need 1 muffler or 2? I can get a smokin deal on 1 super 44 locally. Will that be enough?

You only need one but it needs to be a single 3" inlet and a dual 2.5" outlet. If it's only a single inlet/outlet it isn't going to work.

so if i get a dual outlet, its a direct swap out? Sorry for all the questions

You'll need some extra 3" pipe to make up for the difference in muffler length and two hangers welded on the pipes at the back of the muffler. Any muffler shop will be able to do it for you though.

Hey that't what the forum is for.. Helping getting all your questions resolved and helping others out too. Everyone has to learn, no need to be sorry about asking questions:smileup:

I am not 100% sure as I only have a single and a 3rd gen, but I would believe if all inlet/outlets are the same size it should all match up..I think the only thing you would need is to add just some same size pipe from the muffler to the original exhaust as the stock muffler can fit a family of 5 in it comfortably and a super 44 is muchhhh smaller lol.

I have to pull a trailer almost daily. Would either of these be too loud to the point it would be annoying?
